After 20 years of research on L-arginine,the L-arginine patent was licensed to Synergy Worldwide. The new L-arginine product will be called proargi9.

(PRWEB) March 14, 2004

The scientific and medical community took notice when it was recently announced that the world’s leading expert on L-arginine had licensed her patented product to Synergy Worldwide, a Nutraceutical company in Provo, Utah. The L-arginine patent is the brainchild of world-renowned researcher, Dr. Ann de Wees Allen, Chief of Biomedical Research at the Glycemic Research Institute in Washington, D.C.

After 20 years of research on L-arginine, it was assumed that Dr. Allen would license her patent to a large Pharmaceutical company. Corporate and Pharmaceutical negotiations for the rights to the patent came to an abrupt halt when the decision was announced that Synergy Worldwide had been granted the rights to the L-arginine patent.

Dr. Allen’s L-arginine patent is considered the breakthrough product of the Century, and is currently valued at 100 million dollars. The value of the patent was based on the unique properties of Dr. Allen’s formula.

Since the Nobel Prize was awarded for Nitric Oxide/L-arginine, the Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical industries have rushed to bring L-arginine products to market. According to scientists, the problem is that no-one appears to know enough about L-arginine to produce a product that is both efficacious and safe for human use. Though L-arginine has been shown, in over 10,000 clinical studies, to provide health benefits to humans, the process for eliminating side effects has eluded formulators. Additionally, the major benefit of L-arginine appears to be the reactivation of anti-aging mechanisms, but the action required is complex, and takes precise formulating.

Dr. Allen states, “You cannot simply place L-arginine in a capsule or spray, or in a formula that does not contain the proper co-factors, and expect it to work. That won’t happen. L-arginine is both dose-dependent and timing-dependent, and it is very selective about crossing the blood-brain-barrier, where it releases anti-aging-hormones.”

Researchers agree that L-arginine formulas containing Lysine, sucrose, maltodextrins, and any other competing agent, does not work. L-arginine also reactivates the herpes simplex virus (HSV), and produces nitric oxide (NO), which can cause severe free radical damage. The methodology utilized in producing an L-arginine product that does not carry these side effects was developed by Dr. Allen.

When reporters asked Dr. Allen and Synergy Worldwide to reveal these processes to the medical and scientific community, they declined, stating that the process is “proprietary, and not described in the patent.” One of the processing secrets that has been disclosed by chemists working on the project, is the extraction of organic Kiwi glycosides and low glycemic carbohydrates that are then bound to L-arginine molecules.

Synergy Worldwide announced that the name of the L-arginine product will be PROARGI-9, to be launched mid-February 2004. For more information call 1(800)573-7012 , email mikesan@orotech.net or visit http://www.wealthofhealth.net.

4th Annual Encephalitis Conference

(PRWEB) February 24, 2005

The FACES (Friends And Caregivers Encephalitis Survivors) Encephalitis Conference is proud to welcome friends old and new to attend and learn more about encephalitis, from the people it has touched.

Encephalitis Global Inc. President Wendy Station is an encephalitis survivor. She says, ?It?s our annual time of the year to raise awareness, and let the world know that we have a voice. So often, problems such as encephalitis are swept under the carpet, as folks just don?t understand? and don?t wish to take the time to understand. We would all like to change that.

Judith Ashton of Encephalitis Global Inc. and also an encephalitis survivor adds, ?Those who survive encephalitis often face a range of serious cognitive and physical impairments. For example, some survivors, particularly those who have suffered encephalitis due to the same virus that causes cold sores, the herpes simplex virus, may be left with a variety of memory problems, including amnesia. Other survivors may be left with attention and organization problems and far-ranging difficulties in processing information. Many have speech and language difficulties. Some experience profound fatigue and sleep disorders. Survivors also may have a range of physical disabilities, from paralysis to partial paralysis to significant balance and gait problems. They may also have seizure disorders. Encephalitis may touch anyone from young infants to elderly persons and those who survive are likely to require extensive rehabilitation services and may or may not regain former functional abilities to work or to live independently.

“This illness is so frustrating for some survivors and their families because many of the disabilities we have as a result of contracting encephalitis are not readily apparent. Thus, those who don’t know us well may not understand how difficult it may be for us even to perform basic daily activities. A noisy environment may trigger a seizure. We may not be able to process information quickly enough to drive a car or perform a job. We may not be able to concentrate long enough to do basic housekeeping activities. We may be overwhelmed by the complications of simply writing out checks. Our balance may be so poor that we cannot use the public transportation system.”

A guest speaker at FACES will be Elaine Dowell from The Encephalitis Society in the United Kingdom. Ms. Dowell is a founding member of that Society and parent of a son affected by encephalitis.

?Some forms of encephalitis are transmitted by insects, including the West Nile virus,” says Wendy Station. “So often, West Nile?s most serious impact is measured by the basic fatality count. We hope for people to learn about the encephalitis survivors, and the struggles they are facing. Our message is simple. We have survived. We are here. And we are fighting back.?

Metal Dental Braces Can Rip a Condom and Tear Sensitive Tissues, Increasing Potential for STDs

West Roxbury, MA (PRWEB) November 28, 2005 ?

Teens engaging in sexual practices such as oral sex or French kissing should be cautious if they or their partners wear metal braces on their teeth, said Boston cosmetic dentist Helaine Smith (http://www.helainesmithdmd.com).

Metal braces can scratch delicate genital areas, tear sensitive mouth tissues, or rip a hole in a condom. Such incidents increase the potential for sexually transmitted diseases and blood-borne pathogens, including HIV/AIDS, chlamydia, and hepatitis B and C.

?Most teens and young adults don?t realize that metal dental braces can do some damage,? said Dr. Smith. ?And while new dental technologies such as Invisalign and plastic braces have been introduced, the fact is, many dentists still rely on the traditional metal braces and their nickel titanium brackets, wires, and ties. Even plastic braces still use metal wires and ties that can cause damage.?

Because the metal brackets and wires can catch on the thin latex of condoms and dental dams and cause microscopic tears, Dr. Smith advises teens and young adults to carefully consider whether to engage in oral sex with partners who wear wire braces. Safer sex practices also include changing the condom before engaging in another sexual activity in order to reduce the risk of STDs and/or unintended pregnancy ? even if one thinks the condom has not been damaged. Dental dams, which are also made of latex, are used when performing oral sex on a woman and protect against herpes and genital warts. Dr. Smith advises young adults to also exercise caution when participating in long kissing sessions with partners who wear braces because the brackets can tear delicate mouth tissues and increase the exposure to blood-borne pathogens and STDs such as HIV/AIDs.

Sexually transmitted diseases are among the most common infections in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), an estimated 15.3 million new cases of STDs are reported each year in the U.S. Despite STD prevention efforts, the U.S. has the highest rates of STDs in the industrialized world. The CDC recommends that one not engage in sexual activities with partners who exhibit signs of STDs, including mouth or genital rashes, sores or discharge.

MyBlackBook Releases VDNote to Help Assist in Maintaining an Active, Healthy Sex Life

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 15, 2006

MyBlackBook (http://www.myblackbook.org), the Internet?s first secure and confidential on-line sexual history tracker, has just released a new tool that assists in maintaining a healthy active sex life.

The new tool called VDNote, short for ?Venereal Disease Notification?, is linked to a user?s MyBlackBook account ? analyzing the account and giving each user the probability of obtaining a sexually transmitted disease such as chlamydia or herpes, based on a combination of national averages and their own sexual history.

The tool gives real-time information to the user and shows them the probability of obtaining several sexually transmitted diseases, along with both the site and national averages, so a user can see if they are above or below the current averages of obtaining a venereal disease.

VDNote is just one of the many other features that MyBlackBook has to offer which also includes features such as charts, graphs, reports and more ? all in real time, and all for free.

The mission of MyBlackBook (http://www.myblackbook.org) is to provide its members with a place to store their sexual history, partners, and experiences in a safe, secure and confidential place. MyBlackBook allows members to manage, update and lookup their entries in an easy way – giving them the opportunity and ability to assess their sexual behavior and activity and, if desired, to make changes in their life. The addition of VDNote to MyBlackBook?s service helps simplify the task of modifying sexual habits by actually computing the risks involved with having unprotected sex and the like.

All transmissions through MyBlackBook are aided by a 128-Bit SSL Secure Server, to protect the privacy and the information passed from the user to the server. The service is completely free to use, but members must be at least 18 years of age, due to the nature of the service.

MyBlackBook hopes that the addition of this new service, VDNote, will spark a trend in getting people to be more aware of their sexual behavior ? possibly reducing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, and creating a safer sexual environment for all.

MyBlackBook, which debuted April 15th, 2005, has over 750 active members taking charge of their sex life, and who now have the ability to make any necessary changes to stay healthy and disease free. MyBlackBook is owned by Resorb Networks, Inc. – a small on-line company that creates radical and never-before-seen applications for the web.

Reduce the Risk of West Nile Virus This Summer Season ?Ancient Chinese Wisdom May Offer A Way To ?Fight To The Bite? From The Inside-Out

Guelph, ON (PRWEB) June 16, 2006

Summer is the season for mosquitoes, and just one bite from a West Nile virus-infected mosquito can transmit the infection. Currently, there is no vaccine available for West Nile virus, but BioHerbaLai Inc. endeavours to help prepare Canadians against the risk with Vital-Ai?, a safe and potent herbal immune-boosting formula combining ancient Chinese wisdom with modern day technology.

Vital-Ai? is an herbal product created through the integration of biotechnology and ancient Chinese herbs that have been used for thousands of years, due to their antibacterial and antiviral efficacy, in addition to their overall enhancement of the immune system. Clinical observation studies indicate that taking Vital-Ai? internally can prevent infection and inflammation as well as provide detox functions and immune support. Patients who have taken Vital-Ai? for various viral infections such as Flu, herpes, the shingles and West Nile virus discovered that it successfully reduced both the length of suffering and intensity of illness.

?Cases of West Nile virus have surfaced in North America since 1999, and perhaps the best way to protect oneself against the quick spread of infection – especially during the most highly active mosquito season – is through proper preparation with Vital-Ai?,? said Dr. Sherman Lai, founder and creator of BioHerbaLai Inc. ?Specifically, Vital-Ai? strengthens liver functions which enhance the immune system. To minimize risk of infection, using Vital-Ai? at lower dosages can prevent West Nile virus effectively.?

Vital-Ai?, like other BioHerbaLai Inc. products, safely combines traditional Chinese medicine with modern nutritional sciences. Users will show the same symptom relief for West Nile as for flu in about 24-36 hours. One particular patient treated West Nile with Vital-Ai? resulting in a cure in less than 48 hours.

Please visit http://www.BioHerbaLai.com for more information.

About: BioHerbaLai Inc., founded by world-renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physician Dr. Sherman Lai, has effectively combined thousands of years of traditional Eastern medicine with innovative Western medical science and modern nutritional sciences to develop the safest and most potent herbal remedies available. M’s Science Corporation Initiated European Phase 2 Study in Stroke Recovery

KOBE, Japan (PRWEB) January 30, 2008

????This latest Phase 2 trial is an international, multi-center, double-blind and placebo-controlled study of SA4503 in patients with stroke with a planned enrollment of approximately 60 patients. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate safety of SA4503 in this patient population.

SA4503 is a potent and selective agonist of the sigma-1 receptor. Activation of this receptor is associated with enhancement of recovery in experimental models of stroke. SA4503 induces neuroregeneration and facilitates the recovery of damaged tissues from stress or ischemia-induced insults. This novel mechanism of action allows for a large time-window of treatment initiation in patients up to 60 hours after occurrence of stroke. In contrast, thrombolytic treatment must be applied within 3 hours after stroke, which limits the application of this therapy to less than 10% of all stroke patients. Therefore, SA4503 may address a significant medical need for effective stroke therapy with an expanded time-window of treatment initiation. Consequently, a larger proportion of stroke patients may potentially benefit from a therapy with SA4503.

“The role of the sigma-1 receptor in enhancing recovery from stroke was discovered by a functional genomics approach. SA4503 is among the first therapies acting on the central nervous system that resulted from the application of this innovative technology,” commented Dr. Roman Urfer, Senior Vice President International Development.

“Stroke poses significant therapeutic challenges. SA4503 with its unique and unexploited mechanism has the potential to address the limitations of today’s stroke therapies,” said Dr. Shiro Mita, Chairman and CEO.

“This trial marks an important milestone in the development of SA4503. Our two on-going Phase 2 trials document our focused clinical development with this innovative compound. Moreover, our lead in the sigma-1 receptor field allows us to aggressively pursue this novel mechanism of action in additional indications,” commented Mr. Akihiko Shimauchi, President and COO.

About M’s Science Corporation

M’s Science (MSC) is a privately held biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of treatments of central nervous system (CNS) disorders and cancer. MSC currently develops two clinical stage products, SA4503 and HF10.

SA4503 is a potent and selective agonist of the sigma-1 receptor. MSC will initially focus its clinical development of SA4503 on the treatment of major depression and on the enhancement of recovery from stroke.

HF10 is a natural isolate of an attenuated herpes simplex virus and possesses strong tumor killing ability. MSC initially develops HF10 for the treatment of head & neck cancer and intends to expand its application to other cancers.

Consumers Discover Natural Ingredients In “Athletic Soap” To Be Effective During Cold & Flu Season

Lakewood, OH (PRWEB) January 6, 2009

Defense Soap (http://www.defensesoap.com) has been used by combat athletes and competitive wrestlers for years. That’s because the natural active ingredients it contains have been known to fight the harmful skin bacteria these athletes encounter in the rough and tumble world of hand-to-hand combat.

Now, consumers who are concerned about cold & flu season have found a new use for this soap. One of the main active ingredients in Defense Soap is the natural essential oil Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil. Eucalyptus oil has powerful and antimicrobial properties. The natural healing powers of eucalyptus have been widely known among holistic health practitioners for thousands of years. The Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS), which is the official compendium for Homeopathic Drugs in the U.S. and is recognized by the FDA, recognizes eucalyptus oil for these benefits. Though much less significant than it’s antimicrobial properties it seems the oil’s potent aromatic attributes helps to open airway passages –allowing users to breathe easier. Combining the powers of Eucalyptus Oil with Defense Soap’s other natural essential oils like Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil –which is also thought to combat the skin-dwelling bacteria that are involved in causing infections–creates a sense of well being and at the same time works to keep the natural skin flora in balance. Audet & Partners, LLP Files First Raptiva Lawsuit After Announced Withdrawal

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 10, 2009

Audet & Partners, LLP, a San Francisco, California-based trial law firm, filed the first complaint against Genentech arising out of the recently announced withdrawal of Raptiva medication. Filed in Alameda Superior Court (Case #rg09-446158), the complaint seeks general and punitive damages.

Raptiva is a medication used to treat severe to moderate psoriasis and works by suppressing the immune system. According to allegations in the complaint filed by Audet & Partners, LLP Raptiva allegedly causes a number of serious life-threatening infections, including encephalitis, viral meningitis and a rare brain infection known as progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). At least three and possibly four cases of PML brain infections have been confirmed by the FDA.

Due to safety concerns, Raptiva already is suspended from the market in both Europe and Canada, and as of April 8, 2009, Genentech announced a phased withdrawal of Raptiva from the United States market.

“We have a number of clients who have contacted our firm over the past couple of months regarding Raptiva, and this is one of the first cases filed in the United States,” noted William M. Audet, managing partner of Audet & Partners, LLP, “We expect that more cases will be filed by our firm as our investigation continues.”

In the complaint, Plaintiff Mary Hedrick alleges that she suffered herpes viral encephalitis, a rare brain infection, as a result of being treated with Raptiva. This left her with permanent brain and nervous system damage requiring her to undergo intensive rehabilitation to relearn how to walk and speak. Plaintiff Shirley Boxell is suing on behalf of her daughter, Megan, who died of a brain infection at age 26, after taking Raptiva for one year. Plaintiff Bruce Harwell has suffered from severe leucopenia, as well as other injuries, allegedly due to Raptiva.

“All of the plaintiffs in this case have suffered serious injury while taking Raptiva, a monoclonal antibody that inhibits T-cell activity,” stated Susanne Scovern, a trial attorney at Audet & Partners, LLP. “No one would choose to take a life-threatening drug for a non-life-threatening injury. The dangerous side effects of Raptiva far outweighed the good it did to treat psoriasis,” she stated.

Audet & Partners, LLP, (221 Main Street, Suite 1460, San Francisco, CA 94105, 415.982.1776) a San Francisco-based law firm, represents individuals, governmental entities, small businesses and shareholders in product liability, tort, negligence, consumer, construction defect, investment fraud, securities, insider trading, antitrust, environmental, whistle blower, aviation and employment cases. The founding partner, William M. Audet, has served as court-approved lead counsel in dozens of federal and state cases throughout the United States.

Cold Sore Healing Time and Severity Significantly Reduced With L-Lysine Based Topical Ointment – Clinical Study

Eugene, OR (PRWEB) March 12, 2004

Cold sore sufferers using a topical L-lysine based ointment healed more quickly and experienced significantly reduced symptoms according to a new study from Southern California University of Health Sciences. That?s good news for the 66 million North Americans with active cold sores.

“The formula reduced the duration of cold sore symptoms by 50% or more when compared to untreated cold sore data. The median healing time was 4.0 days – 1/2 to 1 full day shorter than in the studies on leading prescription and OTC brands which cost much more”, said Betsy Singh, PhD, the University?s Dean of Research.

The study results were presented by Dr. Singh and her colleagues in January at the Scripps Institute for Integrative Medicine conference titled Natural Supplements in Evidence-Based Practice: A Clinical and Research Update. The meeting was co-hosted by University of California San Diego Continuing Medical Education. The study was co-authored by Jay Udani, MD, Medical Director of the Integrative Medicine Program at Northridge Hospital, Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA / Geffen School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor of Research at SCU.

The study, Safety and Effectiveness of a Lysine Based Product on the Treatment of Facial and Circumoral Herpes, also showed that within three days, the formula either completely eliminated or dramatically reduced cold sore symptoms, including tingling, burning, itching, tenderness, prickling, soreness and blistering. In addition, a remarkable 40% of the participants had full cure by end of the third day. No adverse effects were reported.

The formula is available under brand names including LIP CLEAR® Lysine+ and Super Lysine+®. The formula includes a proprietary blend of L-Lysine, natural zinc oxide, Vitamins A, D and E, extracts of goldenseal, propolis, calendula, echinacea; cajeput and tea tree oil, and gum benzoin tincture, honey and lithium carbonate in a base of olive oil and yellow beeswax. For more information visit http://www.lipclear.com or call 1-800-448-1448.

According to the researchers, participants commented that the formula provided a superior experience compared to other formulas; it was invisible, did not burn when applied, and provided immediate relief.

This open label outcome study measured time to full cure as well as ten common symptoms. Full cure referred to the complete disappearance of the lesion, not merely crusting, the end point in most studies (crusting may take 2 to 7 more days to disappear). The ten factors for monitoring the sores were: tingling, itching, burning, tenderness, prickling, soreness, bump/swelling, small blister(s), oozing blister(s), and crusting. 120 subjects pre-enrolled and 30 subjects, half male/female, 28 to 65, participated. All subjects were experienced cold sores sufferers and were familiar with other treatments and their efficacy.

Cold sores are small blisters that form around the mouth that are clear and filled with fluid. Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus which lives inside nerve tissue. It is estimated that 80% of the population carry the virus and 60 million people have outbreaks once or more per year. Cold sores are also known as Herpes Simplex or HSV1 (not the same as genital herpes) and may be referred to as fever blisters. Cold sores can be triggered by sunlight, fever, illness, stress, arginine rich foods such as chocolate, food allergies or hormonal changes. Early symptoms of an outbreak are itching, tingling or a burning sensation. Cold sores are contagious and can be spread by kissing or sharing eating utensils, toothbrushes, towels or razors.

The study was authored by Betsy B. Singh, Ph.D., Jay Udani, M.D., Sivarama Prasad Vinjamury, M.D. (Ayurveda), Claudia Der-Martirosian, PhD., Sonal Gandhi, M.D., Rahelea Khorsan, M.A., Dinesh Nanjegowda, Ph.D., and Vijay Singh, B.A.

A New and Effective Canker Sores Treatment

Israel, Tel Aviv (PRWEB) April 12, 2004

The leading bio-company AxioMedic introduce a new and effective canker sores treatment ? Pro-Pe®

What are canker sores?

Canker sores (aphthas) are a common and bothersome phenomenon caused by wounding the mucosa while chewing, biting the cheek or tongue, dental treatment etc. Canker sores (aphthas) also appear against the background of various viral diseases, especially herpes. RAS disease – repeated aphthas – suffered by about 20% of Americans, causes frequent and repeated canker ulcers. The treatments today are solely symptomatic, some of which cause severe side-effects, sometimes more serious than the phenomenon itself.

How does treatment with Pro-Pe® relieve Canker Sores?

Pro-Pe® is a small adhesive canker patch that works like a plaster to cover the canker sore (aphtha( This canker patch adheres to the canker mucosa and protects the sore area – mechanically and biologically.

As is known, the canker cavity contains food remains, bacteria, viruses and fungi that can cause an infection of an open ulcer. The Pro-Pe® canker patch prevents these secondary infections. Moreover, the canker patch properties, which contain natural active ingredients, expedite the healing of canker sores (aphthas), soothing and relieving the pain.

To sum up: Pro-Pe® is an innovative and effective treatment especially for treating canker sores (aphthas) and preventing their reoccurrence. Pro-Pe® immediately soothes the pain and heals the canker sore (aphtha) within 24 to 48 hours. Simultaneously, Pro-Pe® prevents all contact with the canker sore (aphtha) using a tiny canker patch applied to the canker sore (aphtha), thereby protecting it from tongue contact, heat, cold, sharpness or tartness and ensuring a total seal against food and other inflammatory agents found in the canker cavity. The canker patch dissolves within a few hours and does not have to be removed.

e-coldsores.com Explains Why Cold Sores are Contagious

Mount Kisco, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2005

According to e-coldsores.com, cold sores are contagious in more ways than one. The herpes simplex virus that usually causes cold sores is easily spread–even if the infected person does not have an active cold sore.

Cold sores are contagious, and the HSV-1 virus that causes cold sores is present in an estimated 80% of the population. Most people are infected by HSV-1 at an early age, usually by the time they are five years old. Once the virus infects an individual, it will remain in that person?s body forever. Though HSV-1 is latent or dormant for much of the time, it is still present in the body. The virus is usually present near the person?s mouth, but it can spread all over the body. It is important to understand that an infected person can spread HSV-1 to others even while not currently experiencing an outbreak.

According to e-coldsores.com, one of the most common ways that HSV-1 is spread is through an object an infected person used, like a toothbrush or tube of lip balm. If particles of the HSV-1 virus are transferred to an object and it is used by someone else, that person runs a strong risk of infection.

People are most likely to become infected by HSV-1 by exposure to someone with a cold sore. A cold sore goes through several phases before it disappears. The tingle stage is the first. At this point, the cold sore has not yet formed, but the virus has been reactivated. The risk of spreading the virus increases at this time, but the risk is highest when the sore is in the weeping stage. This is when the sore bursts open and expels a clear liquid. Even during the crusting stage, when the sore is scabbed over, the risk of infection is greater than normal.

It is important to note that HSV-1 can not only spread between people, but also to different parts of the infected person?s body. Herpetic whitlow, the HSV-1 infection of the fingers is particularly painful. People must be sure to wash their hands thoroughly when they have a cold sore to prevent the spread of HSV-1.

How to Ward off Future Attacks of Shingles

Cordova, TN (PRWEB) March 9, 2006

You only need five minutes and one simple solution for your shingles, Zynoxin. Selmedica Heathcare, the manufacturers of Zynoxin, claim, ?The main problem is that all of these (shingles) medications are not only expensive, but they only address the symptoms of shingles and do nothing to help ward off future attacks.?

According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders states, ?Shingles (herpes zoster) are an outbreak of rash or blisters on the skin that is caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox – the varicella-zoster virus. The first sign of shingles is often burning or tingling pain, or sometimes numbness, in or under the skin. You may also feel ill with fever, chills, headache, or upset stomach. After several days, a rash of small fluid-filled blisters, reminiscent of chickenpox, appears on reddened skin.?

Additionally, the National Institute says, ?The pain associated with shingles can be intense and is often described as “unrelenting.” Anyone who has had chickenpox is at risk for shingles.?

Scientists think that in the original battle with varicella-zoster, some of the virus particles leave the skin blisters and move into the nervous system. When the varicella-zoster virus reactivates, the virus moves back down the long nerve fibers that extend from the sensory cell bodies to the skin and cause the characteristic blisters of shingles.

There are several options in the treatment of shingles. Some prescription antiviral medications like acyclovir, valacyclovir, or famciclovir treat the symptoms of shingles but do so at the risk of side effects and potential drug interactions. Other medication address the discomfort and itching, but the main problem is that all of these expensive medications do nothing to ward off future attacks.

Scientists at Selmedica Healthcare have developed a 100% natural and unique approach with an 87.7% success rate. Company officials state, ?You only need five minutes and one simple solution for your shingles. Zynoxin is the only 100% natural product that attacks shingles from the inside out. It’s the only complete shingles system in the world.?

For more information about how to completely treat shingles and ward off future attacks, visit http://www.zynoxin.com
